Size matters for email subject lines ✉️

Attention spans are short, and inboxes are crowded.

Aim for subject lines that are concise and to the point. Ideally, keep them under 50 characters to maximise visibility.

Also, mobile devices may only display around the first 30 characters, while on desktop you may see approximately 70 characters.

Keeping subject lines to 4-6 words, all of which are 8 characters or less, is a good standard to aim for if you don’t want your audience to miss the end of the subject line. This is also a good reason to always put the most interesting or eye-catching point at the start of the sentence. .
