Since last autumn, LinkedIn has quietly rolled out some changes to its ad terminology, and while they seem small, they’re pretty significant (and potentially confusing).

Here’s what’s changed:
- What used to be called a Campaign Group is now a Campaign
- What used to be called a Campaign is now an Ad Set
- What used to be called an Ad remains… well, an Ad

Why does this matter?
If you’re managing ads or reporting on performance, these changes can trip you up, especially when comparing historical data or collaborating with teams who still use the old terms. You may even find that some of your Campaign  Manager accounts feature the new terms, with others still use the old ones, making comparisons potentially confusing.

Tip: Double-check your naming conventions, internal documentation and report automations to avoid mix-ups.
