Pyropress has added new features to its Perseus range of ATEX and IECEx switches for use in hazardous areas which is now available with a stainless steel housing for the first time.
“We have added an adjustable differential setting capability to the Perseus range of flameproof switches and intrinsically safe switches. It allows fine tuning of compressor cycling in air conditioning and HVAC applications for example and has other uses where hysteresis control is required,” says Stephen Burns, Managing Director Pyropress Limited. “The same module allows two switches with separate settings.
Pyropress has also reduced installation time, space and overall cost and added the option for a second M20 electrical connection. The company has saved the cost of a separate junction box, as the explosion proof junction box is now integral to the switch.
The Perseus range of switches is available in pressure, temperature, level and flow variants and is fully certified to the European ATEX 2014/34/EU and International IECEx for explosion proof (Ex-d) and intrinsically safe (Ex-ia). Pyropress offers many options and variants for applications where gas, vapour, powders and dusts are present.
