Striking New Responsive Website for MENCK

MENCK TABLET

Molokini has developed a new responsive website for the world's leading provider of hydraulic hammers and related services for the installation of subsea piles. The new MENCK website is brimming with engaging imagery, user-friendly features and custom design aspects to reach a truly global audience.

New Website Layout for Improved Usability

Working with the Hamburg based marketing team and management, the MENCK website has had a complete design overhaul. We’ve added more modules to make the content easier to find and digest, and have also re-designed the site navigation around intuitive usability. The navigation has been developed around shallow and (ultra) deep water services and hammer size according to energy required to drive the piles offshore.

The highly specialised industrial business MENCK, an Acteon Group company, is now more easily understood and approachable than ever in is core markets: including oil and gas, wind power and civil engineering.  Specific technical documentation is available for each of these sectors.

Improved Web Design

The interactive new home sliders sum up everything you need to know about MENCK from the onset and the clickable icons of subsea structures including monopoles and jacket foundations give users more than one way to quickly find what they are looking for.

Additionally, stunning imagery on the deeper pages, from engineers at work on jacket piles above turbulent seas, to enormous subsea piles hard at work on the ocean floor, quickly engage with the user.

Exciting New Website Features

Alongside the eye-catching new design and layout, Molokini has incorporated even more features with the end user in mind; including a categorised news stream, downloadable resources, clickable banners, social media integration and an interactive project portfolio.  This all new projects page has been transformed into a connected world map, with many completed MENCK projects marked, depending on location and sector. The user can click on each project’s marker and find out everything they'd like to know, with one click and the Joomla CMS enables the MENCK team to update the site.

Responsive Design and Search Optimisation

In early 2014, the number of mobile users accessing the internet surpassed the number of desktop users. In early 2015, Google and other search engines started giving preference to sites which had been built using mobile responsive design over those who hadn't.  With MENCK's highly mobile target audience spread around the globe, it was imperative that the new site be as user-friendly on mobile devices as it is on large desktops in engineering offices.  In addition, it has been structured to be compatible across multiple web browsers and was optimised for key search terms at the point of going live.

Harnessing the power of a website for any organisation is crucial, even for businesses that may consider themselves as primarily offline. Manufacturers, construction firms, engineers, transporters or other industrial businesses often measure success by their ability to build offline relationships – but the web plays a huge part in developing those face-to-face relations.
