A new online Quote Builder from IDEAL Networks enables network cable installers to easily select a cable certifier package that meets their specific job requirements, helping to drive down purchase costs.
Global manufacturer of innovative cable and network testers, IDEAL Networks, recently launched the LanTEK III cable certifier, which has been developed to help reduce costs and increase productivity when installing data cabling. The Quote Builder is an easy to use visual guide that explains each of the elements, enabling cable installers to make an informed buying decision, whilst building a tailored cable certifier solution.
“Previously, cable certifiers have only been available in ’bundles’, which can include extra components or functionality that a customer will simply never use,” explains Tim Widdershoven, Global Marketing Manager of IDEAL Networks. “Using our new Quote Builder function online, customers can ‘pick and mix’ from various options to find a certifier that meets their specific requirements and their budget, in six simple steps.”
To begin, users choose either a 500MHz Cat 6A or a 1000MHz Cat 7A certifier, and then add adapters. Permanent Link (PL) adapters can be used for testing cabling from the outlet to the patch panel, or channel adapters can be used to certify the entire link, including the patch cords.
Next, users select any fibre modules required, to add Tier 1 fibre optic cable certification. Following that, add any accessories, such as calibration cables, coax adapters, or an industrial Ethernet kit, if required. Finally, select a one, two or three year Careplan providing an all-inclusive package for the calibration and maintenance of your certifier to help keep the lifetime cost low. On entering a few basic contact details, a quote will be received.
Features of the LanTEK III, such as the innovative Permanent Link adapters and advanced troubleshooting capabilities, help to reduce expenditure and maximise productivity for cable installers. Test results can be sent from the jobsite, via a mobile device using the new IDEAL AnyWARE app and professional PDF reports can be produced using the free data management software IDEAL DataCENTER (IDC). For copper or fibre cables, LanTEK III and FiberTEK III make certification and troubleshooting faster, easier and more affordable.
