Hyster has announced a series of new distribution partnerships across Europe and has reinforced its unique ability to provide superior local support, globally.

“Hyster has one of the strongest material handling product portfolios in the world.  However, great product design alone doesn’t automatically mean that the equipment will be successful in operation” says Kate Pointeau, Hyster Brand Manager. “Effective specification, installation and intelligent management of the fleet are also essential ingredients, particularly in intense and demanding operations.”

Hyster manufactures a full range of tough material handling equipment, from electric forklifts and warehouse products through to diesel and LPG forklifts, reachstackers and empty container handlers.  The forklift brand is chosen by some of the largest organisations in the world who are supported locally through a network of Hyster distribution partners.

In France, Hyster recently announced that Manuloc will now distribute the brand across the entire country.  With 40 years’ experience in the material handling sector, Manuloc has an established reputation as one of the premier service organisations in France, with a long term rental fleet of 16,000 units supported by a 1,200 strong staff and 700 mechanics.

This new development in France reflects how Hyster operates in the majority of countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa with, for example, Zeppelin in Germany and Eastern Europe, Barloworld Handling in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands and Alfaland in Spain.

Similarly, in February 2011, Çukurova Ziraat was appointed as the new Hyster distributor for Turkey helping to increase the Hyster presence in this rapidly growing country. With 49 successful years of experience as a construction and road building equipment dealer in the region, Çukurova Ziraat has built an enviable reputation for sales and after sales service. Through its efforts, the equipment brands represented are now the market leaders in Turkey, a position that Çukurova Ziraat intends to fulfil with Hyster products, spare parts and services.

At the BAUMA exhibition in Mumbai at the beginning of February, TIL and Hyster demonstrated how their partnership has a clear focus in India.  TIL is one of the leading providers of heavy equipment products in the region with a 65-year heritage, over 60 branches and more than 1,800 staff, ensuring maximum local coverage for the Hyster brand.  Today, TIL Ltd provides equipment and support for most major ports, terminals and heavy industry in the region, including defence and mining businesses.

The combined strengths of Hyster and its global network of distribution partners offer international brands and local businesses a unique combination of intelligent lift truck design and service.  Hyster is set to demonstrate the strength of these partnerships at CEMAT 2011 in Hannover, Germany, and show the importance of delivering industry specific experience at a local level.
