Darrell Roper, now Managing Director of the company, explains “Four members of the management team now own Broadland Radiators following divestment by the previous owners.”

Broadland Radiators designs and manufactures bespoke radiators for all brands of industrial engines.  Its principal market is within the oil and gas sector where engines are used to power well service equipment, such as air compressors, cementing units, generator sets, powerpacks, pumps or cranes.

“We support equipment packagers by building radiators that fit their specific requirements and provide the required level of cooling for the engine and application,” he explains.  “Usually the equipment is used within a hazardous area, so our radiators can easily be used as part of an ATEX certified project to help meet either T3 temperature classes.”

The company has over 50 years of experience and was previously owned by explosion protection specialist Pyroban, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. The company’s units have had global reach and are currently operating in almost all offshore oil regions around the world.

“At our 2,900m2 manufacturing operation we build quality equipment with a highly experienced team.  Having operated under the Caterpillar Production System, we continue to design and build bespoke radiators to strict quality standards, from small 70hp engines right up to large 3,500hp engines,” he says, confirming that it is “business as usual” following the sale.

Broadland Radiators has worked with almost all engine makes and models including MTU, Caterpillar, Volvo, Cummins and more, providing the flexibility of design required both for the oil and gas industry and other applications. The company also has a team of engineers certified for working on offshore production and drilling installations.

The sale completed on the 1st January 2017.  For more information visit www.broadlandradiators.co.uk
